Lerner & Loewe's Camelot In Concert
The legendary love story of King Arthur, Guenevere and Sir Lancelot leaps from the pages of T.H. White’s novel in Lerner and Loewe’s Camelot. This fantastical masterpiece which triumphed on Broadway in a legendary original production that led to a film version is now being presented in concert form with a full symphony orchestra on stage. This is a heavenly evening of great singing and terrific music you won’t want to miss.

We want you to join the City Circle family! City Circle's auditions are open to actors of all backgrounds and experience levels. The information below contains all the details about auditioning for our show. Whether you're brand new to City Circle, or a seasoned pro, we can't wait to see you at auditions!

About the Show
Borrowing from the Arthurian Legends, Lerner and Loewe's Camelot is the duo's fantastical masterpiece which triumphed on Broadway in a legendary original production that lead to a film version, and numerous revivals in New York, London and across the globe.
City Circle is presenting this lush musical in concert form with a full symphony orchestra on stage. There are three performances of Camelot. All actors auditioning must be available for all three performances.
- Friday, February 11, 2022 at 7:30 PM
- Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 7:30 PM
- Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM
Rehearsals start Monday, January 3, 2022 and run Monday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM., Sundays from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Tech week begins on Saturday, February 5. No absences are permitted during tech week.
Actors and Production Team will be asked to wear masks during rehearsals. Performers on stage during tech week and the performances will be unmasked.
Auditions and Callbacks will take place at The Coralville Center for the Performing Arts, 1301 5th Street, Coralville. Actors will sign up for a short audition time on one of the following dates:
- Friday, November 19, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Callbacks, if necessary, will take place:
- Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
When entering The Coralville Center for the Performing Arts, please use the underground parking and enter through the Green Room Door, marked "Camelot Auditions".
There are many roles available in Camelot . You can find them all listed on the character list.
Preparing for the Audition
- Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song of your choice that shows off your voice and your ability to tell a story. You are welcome to sing from the musical. Bring sheet music and an accompanist will be provided.
- If you wish to be considered for dancing, please come to the audition dressed comfortably. No other preparation necessary. Dancers do not need to sing if they are not interested in a singing part.
To audition, you will complete two forms using the link below. The first is an audition form, which gathers important information about each actor. The second form is a sign-up time for the audition you will attend. You will need to complete both forms before you can audition. We recommend filling out this form on a desktop or laptop computer.
Please make sure that you have clicked "submit" on both forms. You may need to return to your audition form and submit it after signing up for an audition time.
Please list all schedule conflicts on your audition form. Think of everything that might interfere with rehearsals: vacations, family commitments, work or other obligations. Any conflicts that come up later or are not listed on the form will have to be negotiated with the director.
Performances of Lerner & Loewe's Camelot in Concert will take place at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts.

Tickets are available as print-at-home eTickets, tickets held at will-call, or tickets mailed to your home. Tickets to City Circle Theatre Company and Young Footliters Youth Theatre mainstage events are refundable up to 48 hours before the performance. After that time, tickets may be moved to another performance of the same show, but not refunded.
You are responsible for printing your eTicket and bringing it to the theater. You must present this ticket at the door to be able to access your seat.

Attending the Show
The Coralville Center for the Performing Arts is at 1301 5th Street in Coralville; it is located inside Plaza on 5th at the corner of 12th Avenue and 5th Street.
Free parking is available in the Town Center parking lot immediately north of the theater (the lot shared with the Coralville Public Library). Please note that parking is available both on the surface lot and below ground in the ramp; look for the doorway marked "Plaza Entrance" if parking below ground.
